Bako National Park

Established in 1957, Bako National Park is the oldest park in Sarawak. The park stretches across more than 10 square miles of diverse landscape ranging from sandy beaches to dense jungle. The park is home to approximately 150 proboscis monkeys—a species of monkey that is classified as rare and endangered.
